The One With Wanderlust

Even back when I had websites devoted to General Hospital characters (not even ashamed of this) back in the 90's, I found writing an "About Me" page tricky.

I'm Laura.

I'm a married, thirty year old, stay-at-home-mom of three.  I was born and raised in Canada but permanently reside in the UK.

After meeting in a London hostel (props to The Generator), my husband and I lived in the Bloomsbury area of London for about a year and a half before moving to South London, Wandsworth (not "the dodgy end," per Love Actually) where we stayed for another year and a half.  A move to Toronto, Canada happened in 2007.  And then we decided to move back to the UK in 2010.  We settled into South East Kent this time, opting for bigger back gardens and close proximity to the EuroTunnel and the Channel over London.

I did an Honours Degree at the University of Toronto (2010), double majoring in Art History and Classical Civilisation.  And I generally like to mention the 2 years of Latin and Ancient Greek I studied.  I speak French as well, thanks to several years of Immersion and close proximity to France.

Travel is something that I can't imagine not doing.  I don't really understand when people tell me that they have no desire to get out there and see the world.  I just want to see more of it.  And then even more.
